1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing or using the THI app (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the App immediately.
2. What THI Is (and Is Not)
THI is a journaling and reflection tool designed to help users notice positive daily moments.
THI does not provide:
- medical advice
- psychological treatment
- emergency support
- diagnosis of any kind
If you experience psychological distress, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
If local laws require a higher minimum age, that age applies.
4. Account Registration
To use THI fully, you may need to create an account using:
- Apple Sign-In
- Google Sign-In
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
5. Subscription & Payments
THI offers a premium subscription (“THI Pro”) through Apple’s App Store and Google Play using RevenueCat.
By starting a subscription:
- You authorize Apple/Google to charge your chosen payment method.
- Prices are displayed clearly within the App and may vary by region.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings.
THI cannot cancel subscriptions for you directly.
Free trials:
If you start a free trial, you will automatically be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.
All refunds for subscriptions or purchases must be requested through Apple or Google, as we do not have access to your payment information.
Prices may change, and any changes will be communicated clearly in the App Store or Play Store before they take effect.
6. Use of the App
You agree not to:
- copy, distribute, or resell the App
- reverse-engineer, modify or attempt to access the source code
- upload harmful, illegal, or offensive material
- use the App in any way that violates laws or regulations
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Your Content
You may create content such as:
- THI entries (journal notes)
- Photos (optional)
- Avatar selections
- Reactions and interactions
You retain full ownership of your content.
By using the App, you grant us a license to store and display your content only to provide the service.
We do not sell or use your content for advertising.
You are responsible for ensuring that your submitted content does not infringe on the rights of others.
8. Data & Privacy
Your privacy is important to us.
Please read the Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your data.
If you delete your account, all personal data and THI entries will be removed permanently within 30 days.
9. Availability & Changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App at any time to improve functionality.
We are not liable for:
- service interruptions
- data loss (though we work to prevent it)
- third-party outages (e.g., Supabase, Apple, Google)
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Today’s Happy Incident is not liable for:
- indirect damages
- loss of data
- emotional or psychological outcomes
- reliance on App content
Your use of the App is at your own risk.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access if:
- you violate these Terms
- we detect misuse or abuse
- required by law
You may stop using the App at any time.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands.
